RT8 Shop Terms & Conditions

Welcome to shop.rt8.co.za ("RT8 Shop"), the official e-commerce platform for RT8 Digital Group. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your purchases and use of all products and services offered through RT8 Shop. By accessing or making a purchase on RT8 Shop, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our platform or make any purchases.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By placing an order or using any service on RT8 Shop, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any other policies referenced herein. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RT8 Digital Group.
2. Products and Services
RT8 Shop offers a variety of digital and potentially physical products and services from across the RT8 Digital Group ecosystem, including but not limited to:
- Digital subscriptions and access passes for platforms like talentdirectory.co.za.
- Music releases, merchandise, and related services from RT8 Music.
- Custom software development packages, digital marketing services, and IT consulting retainers.
- Other digital goods, licenses, or physical merchandise as made available.
All products and services are subject to availability. Descriptions, images, and prices are subject to change without prior notice.
3. Payment Integration (PayFast)
All payments on RT8 Shop are processed securely through PayFast, our trusted payment gateway. By making a purchase, you agree to the following:
- Secure Processing: All payment transactions are handled by PayFast. RT8 Digital Group does not store your full credit card details.
- Accuracy of Information: You are responsible for ensuring that all payment and billing information provided is accurate and complete.
- Transaction Confirmation: Upon successful payment, you will receive a confirmation from PayFast and/or RT8 Digital Group.
- Currency: All prices and transactions are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless otherwise specified.
- Fees: Any applicable service fees, transaction fees, or taxes will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase.
4. Order Acceptance and Cancellation
- Order Confirmation: Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. RT8 Digital Group reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason.
- Cancellation by RT8 Digital Group: We reserve the right to cancel any order for reasons including, but not limited to, product unavailability, errors in pricing or product description, or issues identified by our fraud prevention department. If your order is cancelled, you will be notified, and a full refund will be issued if payment has been processed.
- Cancellation by Customer: Orders for digital products are generally non-cancellable once processed. For other services, cancellation policies will be outlined in specific service agreements or product descriptions.
5. Pricing and Availability
Prices for products and services are subject to change without notice. We do not offer price protection or refunds in the event of a price reduction or promotional offering. While we strive for accuracy, errors in pricing or product availability may occur. In such cases, we reserve the right to cancel the order or offer the product at the correct price.
6. Delivery of Digital Products and Services
Digital products (e.g., subscriptions, licenses) are typically delivered instantly or within a short timeframe after successful payment. Access details or download links will be provided via email or through your RT8 Shop account. For services, commencement will be as per the agreed project timeline or service activation schedule.
7. Refund and Returns Policy
All sales through RT8 Shop are generally final. Refunds will only be available for certain cases and are subject to the following conditions:
- No Refunds for Change of Mind: We do not offer refunds for products or services purchased due to a change of mind, dissatisfaction with features clearly advertised, or failure to utilize the product/service.
- Eligibility for Refund (Digital Products/Services): A refund may be considered only in the following exceptional circumstances:
- Non-Delivery: If a purchased digital product or service was not delivered or activated within a reasonable timeframe (e.g., 7 business days) after payment, and RT8 Digital Group is unable to rectify the issue.
- Major Defect: If there is a major, persistent technical defect that prevents the core functionality of the purchased digital product or service from operating as advertised, and RT8 Digital Group is unable to provide a satisfactory resolution or workaround within a reasonable timeframe.
- Refund Policy for Custom Tech Projects: For custom web and mobile application development projects purchased via RT8 Shop, the refund policy outlined in the RT8 Digital Group Terms & Conditions (specifically regarding the 50% upfront payment and milestone payments) will apply.
- Refund Request Process:
- All refund requests must be submitted in writing to info@rt8.co.za within 7 days of the purchase date or within 7 days of the event triggering the refund eligibility.
- The request must include your order details, transaction ID, and a detailed explanation of why you believe you are eligible for a refund, including evidence of non-delivery or major defect.
- RT8 Digital Group will review your request and may require additional information or troubleshooting attempts.
- Refund decisions are at the sole discretion of RT8 Digital Group. If approved, refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 14 business days.
- Partial Refunds: In some cases, a partial refund may be offered if a portion of the product or service was delivered or utilized.
- Product/Service "As Is": By purchasing our products/services, you acknowledge that they are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We strive for excellence but cannot guarantee that the product/service will be error-free or uninterrupted.
8. User Accounts
To make purchases or access certain features on RT8 Shop, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, service marks, trade names, logos, and intellectual property displayed on RT8 Shop (excluding user-submitted content) are the property of RT8 Digital Group or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without explicit written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RT8 Digital Group shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use RT8 Shop; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on RT8 Shop; (c) any content obtained from RT8 Shop; and (d) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RT8 Digital Group and its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of RT8 Shop or your violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in South Africa to resolve any legal matter arising from these Terms.
13. Changes to Terms
RT8 Digital Group reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use RT8 Shop after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
